Petal is a system to make travel to and from the laundromat a more seamless experience. Made of nylon ripstop with a bent plywood base.
A combination of 2D and 3D sketches led to final design elements.
Full scale models in paper defined scale and functions of design elements. A muslin mock-up tested the pattern's accuracy and how the design should be assembled.
Nylon ripstop is breathable, water resistant, and durable. Two colors create a vibrant final design. Birch veneer is layered together over a mold and placed in a vacuum bag to create the base.

This design was my first sewing project. It was extremely challenging but I learned so much! Though imperfect, I am happy with the final result.
